What is Spinal Energetics?
Spinal Energetics™ is a somatic, nervous system-based modality that works with the spine, nervous system and subtle physiological patterns that can be influenced by emotional, psychological and behavioural experiences.
Through gentle, low-force and often non-contact techniques, it supports the body’s innate capacity to reorganise, with changes in movement, posture, breathing and other physiological responses emerging naturally rather than being imposed.
Developed by Dr Sarah Jane Perri, it is now shared by over 900 certified practitioners around the world.

OUR MISSION
To support deeper nervous system awareness, embodiment and human connection through accessible education, practice and global practitioner community growth.
Our Philosophy
We believe the body is not something to be controlled or forced, out listened to.
Spinal Energetics is grounded in the understanding that many experiences - physical, emotional and psychological - can shape the way the nervous system responds, adapts and protects over time.
Rather than imposing change, the work creates space for the body to reorganise naturally through awareness, regulation and expression.
Every person's experience is unique. The intention is not to chase outcomes, but to support greater connection between the body, nervous system and self.

Research & Evidence
Spinal Energetics sits within an emerging field exploring the relationship between the nervous system, somatic awareness, stress physiology and mind-body connection.
While research into Spinal Energetics specifically is continuing to evolve, the modality draws upon broader understandings from:
Nervous system regulation
Somatic practices
Polyvagal theory
Breath and stress physiology
Trauma-informed approaches
Mind-body medicine
As interest in embodied health and nervous system wellbeing continues to grow globally, Spinal Energetics aims to contribute to ongoing exploration, education and dialogue within this space.
We encourage curiosity, critical thinking and responsible practice as the modality continues to develop.
You can learn more about the research surrounding energy work, nervous system health and the spine in Dr Sarah Jane's debut book, Your Spine Holds the Answer.
