Our Teaching Team

Learning Spinal Energetics is about being immersed in a teaching environment shaped by depth, integrity, humanity, and lived experience. Each lead teacher brings something distinct to the learning journey and together, they create a dynamic that is both expansive and safe - one that challenges students to grow while remaining anchored in humility, discernment, and genuine connection.

Depending on the training location, students are also supported by an extended team of experienced teachers who help hold the learning container throughout the course. This wider teaching team reflects the same values at the heart of Spinal Energetics: presence over performance, embodiment over theory, and a commitment to creating practitioners who are not only skilled, but deeply grounded in the responsibility of this work.

  • Dr Sarah Jane, Founder of Spinal Energetics

Dr Sarah Jane | Founder of Spinal Energetics

Dr. Sarah Jane Perri is not your typical spiritual teacher. Unapologetically herself, she teaches from a place of radical authenticity, bringing humour, warmth, intelligence, and grounded presence into every space she enters. Her work invites others to drop the performance and reconnect with what is real, embodied, and deeply human within themselves.

As the creator of Spinal Energetics, Sarah has developed a methodology that was not borrowed from tradition or built from theory alone, but forged through lived experience.

Following immense grief and ambiguous loss, she transformed personal pain into the foundation of a modality now practiced around the world. Her work stands as a living example of the alchemy at the heart of Spinal Energetics: the ability to turn suffering into meaning, connection, and transformation.

Known for her irreverence as much as her depth, Sarah is as likely to make a room erupt in laughter as she is to move it to tears. A creative at heart, she believes beauty is an essential part of healing, intentionally designing trainings that feel expansive, inspiring, and unforgettable. Through her teaching, she reminds practitioners to see the extraordinary in the ordinary — and why they chose this work in the first place.

  • Heidi Marie

Heidi Marie | Master Practitioner Learning & Development Manager

Heidi brings a grounding depth to Spinal Energetics that is entirely her own. Often described as the yin to Sarah’s yang, Heidi’s presence anchors the work with clarity, steadiness, and quiet precision. Where others may become lost in abstraction, she has a remarkable ability to make the complex feel accessible, practical, and deeply human. Students leave her sessions not only inspired, but genuinely capable.

With extensive backgrounds in kinesiology and Chinese medicine, Heidi bridges worlds with rare fluency, weaving together energetics, nervous system science, embodiment, fascia, emotional patterning, and field dynamics without collapsing into rigid clinical thinking or vague mysticism. As co-creator of both the Introduction Course and Level 2, her influence on the foundations and integrity of the modality is immeasurable.

Heidi teaches practitioners to observe rather than perform, consistently guiding students back toward presence, responsiveness, and felt sense instead of certainty or spectacle. Deeply attuned to coherence and practitioner integrity, she values groundedness, emotional stability, humility, and safety above charisma or performance.

Warm, perceptive, and genuinely funny, Heidi brings a kind of humour that disarms and heals in equal measure.

  • Pat Chirico

Pat Chirico | Master Practitioner & Teaching Team

Pat is the calm at the centre of Spinal Energetics. The moment he enters a room, his groundedness is felt. Where others may bring intensity or momentum, Pat brings stillness — a deeply regulated presence that allows people to soften without even realising it. His steadiness is never passive; it is the kind that quietly changes the nervous systems around him.

Pat’s path into this work has been anything but linear, yet every chapter seems to have led here. From accountant, to personal trainer, to highly respected breathwork facilitator, each stage deepened his understanding of discipline, embodiment, and what it truly means to hold space for another person. Today, that lived experience shapes the way he teaches: calm, attentive, and deeply human.

Pat offers something increasingly rare within the healing world — a masculine presence that feels entirely safe. Students feel held rather than handled. There is no performance to him, no need to dominate the room, only an unwavering patience that communicates there is nothing to force and nowhere to rush toward.

Quietly perceptive and deeply attuned, Pat notices what others often miss: the held breath, the subtle shift, the moment a body is finally ready to let go. The warmth and care he brings into his teaching are not separate from who he is — they are simply an extension.
